Pan Fried Beef Neck With Caraway Noodles

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef neck
  • Flour for coating
  • Hot fat for frying
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 quart water
  • Caraway seed
  • Salt and pepper
  • Boiled noodles for serving

Method

  1. 1 Wipe 1 lb beef neck with a damp cloth. Roll the meat in flour.
  2. 2 Brown the meat quickly in hot fat in a frying pan.
  3. 3 Add 1/2 cup flour to the fat left in the pan. Brown well.
  4. 4 Add 1 quart water and bring to a boil. Pour over the meat.
  5. 5 Cook very slowly for 1 hour 45 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and caraway seed.
  6. 6 Serve the beef with boiled noodles.
