Pan Fried Beef Neck With Caraway Noodles
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef neck
- Flour for coating
- Hot fat for frying
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 quart water
- Caraway seed
- Salt and pepper
- Boiled noodles for serving
Method
- 1 Wipe 1 lb beef neck with a damp cloth. Roll the meat in flour.
- 2 Brown the meat quickly in hot fat in a frying pan.
- 3 Add 1/2 cup flour to the fat left in the pan. Brown well.
- 4 Add 1 quart water and bring to a boil. Pour over the meat.
- 5 Cook very slowly for 1 hour 45 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and caraway seed.
- 6 Serve the beef with boiled noodles.
