  • equal parts bread crumbs and cracker crumbs, rolled fine
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • melted butter
  • 1 pint raw oysters with their liquor
  • 2 eggs, well-beaten
  • 1 turkey
  • browned flour for thickening gravy

Method

  1. 1 Mix bread and cracker crumbs with salt, pepper, melted butter, oysters with liquor, and beaten eggs to form the stuffing.
  2. 2 Loosely stuff the turkey and truss it securely.
  3. 3 Roast in a covered roaster, turning over once browned on top.
