Oyster Stew In Bread Bowls

Ingredients

  • 3 little round loaves
  • Oysters
  • Crumbs from the loaves
  • A little water
  • A good lump of butter
  • 1 spoonful of good cream

Method

  1. 1 Cut off the tops of the loaves and scrape out all the crumbs.
  2. 2 Place oysters, crumbs, a little water, and a good lump of butter in a stew pan. Stew together for 10-15 minutes.
  3. 3 Stir in a spoonful of good cream.
  4. 4 Fill the hollowed loaves with the oyster mixture and replace the crust tops.
