Overnight Pancakes With Stiff Beaten Egg
Ingredients
- 1 cup milk, scalded and cooled
- 1/4 cake yeast
- 1 heaping tbsp butter, melted
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 cup sifted flour
- 1 egg, beaten
Method
- 1 Dissolve yeast in cooled scalded milk. Stir in melted butter, sugar, salt, and flour until smooth.
- 2 Let the batter rise overnight in a covered container.
- 3 In the morning, beat the egg separately until stiff, then fold into the batter.
- 4 Beat the batter until smooth and thin, then fry on a griddle as usual.
