Overnight Milk Yeast Rolls
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 3 cups boiled milk
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ cup butter
- 2 egg whites
- ½ cake yeast
Method
- 1 Boil milk, then dissolve sugar and salt in it. Add butter and stir until melted.
- 2 Let mixture cool to tepid. Stir in beaten egg whites and yeast dissolved in 2 tablespoons water.
- 3 Add flour and knead dough for 20-30 minutes. Cover and let rise overnight in a warm place.
- 4 For breakfast: Shape rolls, let rise until doubled, and bake for 30 minutes.
- 5 For luncheon: Punch down dough in the morning. Refrigerate until 1.5 hours before serving, then shape, rise, and bake.
- 6 For tea: Start dough in the morning. Allow 4.5 hours total rising time.
