Oven Roasted Beef Rib Roast With Gravy
Ingredients
- rib roast of beef (with bones)
- salt
- pepper
- flour
- liquid (for gravy)
Method
- 1 Place rib roast in a hot oven (425°F) without seasoning.
- 2 Sear until the outside is browned to seal in juices.
- 3 Reduce heat to 300°F and cook slowly, basting frequently with drippings.
- 4 In the last 30 minutes, dredge with salt, pepper, and flour.
- 5 Remove roast, skim drippings, and thicken with flour and liquid to make gravy.
