Orange Omelet With Caramelized Star
Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 orange (grated rind and 3 tablespoons juice)
- 1 teaspoon butter
Method
- 1 Beat egg yolks with sugar until creamy.
- 2 Add orange zest and juice, then fold in beaten egg whites.
- 3 Melt butter in a clean frying pan over medium heat.
- 4 Pour in mixture, spread evenly, and cook until set and lightly browned.
- 5 Fold edges over, slide onto a hot plate, and dust with powdered sugar.
- 6 Heat a poker until red hot and touch it to the omelet four times to create a caramelized star pattern.
