Orange Marmalade With Apple Jelly

Ingredients

  • 2 oranges
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup orange pulp
  • 1 cup apple jelly

Method

  1. 1 Rasp the orange peel to remove zest, then cut out the fruit segments. Remove seeds from the pulp.
  2. 2 Boil the orange rinds in water until very tender, then beat them fine.
  3. 3 Dissolve sugar in water by boiling and skimming. Add the beaten rinds and boil until the mixture is thick.
  4. 4 Stir in the orange pulp and apple jelly. Boil rapidly for 30 minutes until the mixture jells.
  5. 5 Pour into jars or glasses and seal with paper covers.
