Orange Lemon Sherbet

Ingredients

  • 1 quart water
  • 1 pound sugar
  • Juice of 12 oranges
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • 2 egg whites

Method

  1. 1 Boil water and sugar for 10 minutes. Skim, strain, and cool completely.
  2. 2 Stir in orange and lemon juice.
  3. 3 Place in freezer. When freezing begins, stir in egg whites beaten to stiff peaks.
