Orange Lemon Sherbet
Ingredients
- 1 quart water
- 1 pound sugar
- Juice of 12 oranges
- Juice of 2 lemons
- 2 egg whites
Method
- 1 Boil water and sugar for 10 minutes. Skim, strain, and cool completely.
- 2 Stir in orange and lemon juice.
- 3 Place in freezer. When freezing begins, stir in egg whites beaten to stiff peaks.
