Orange Cream Ice

Ingredients

  • sugar
  • grated yellow rind of 1 orange
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • remaining cream
  • orange juice

Method

  1. 1 Combine sugar, orange rind, and half the cream in a double boiler over heat until sugar dissolves.
  2. 2 Remove from heat and let the mixture cool completely.
  3. 3 Stir in the remaining cream and freeze according to your ice cream maker's instructions.
  4. 4 When frozen hard, mix in orange juice, refreeze, and pack to ripen.
