Orange And Lemon Marmalade

Ingredients

  • 12 oranges
  • 6 lemons
  • 1-1/2 qt hot water
  • 5 lb sugar

Method

  1. 1 Peel oranges and lemons, cutting through the skin to remove sections. Squeeze remaining juice from skins.
  2. 2 Remove white pith from skins, cut yellow zest into thin strips. Simmer skins in water for 1 hour.
  3. 3 Add sugar and orange/lemon pulp to the simmered skins. Boil until mixture is thick.
  4. 4 Pour into hot sterilized jars, cool, then seal and label.
