Orange And Lemon Marmalade
Ingredients
- 12 oranges
- 6 lemons
- 1-1/2 qt hot water
- 5 lb sugar
Method
- 1 Peel oranges and lemons, cutting through the skin to remove sections. Squeeze remaining juice from skins.
- 2 Remove white pith from skins, cut yellow zest into thin strips. Simmer skins in water for 1 hour.
- 3 Add sugar and orange/lemon pulp to the simmered skins. Boil until mixture is thick.
- 4 Pour into hot sterilized jars, cool, then seal and label.
