Onion And Potato Soup
Ingredients
- 4 onions, peeled and chopped
- 2 oz beef dripping or butter
- 3 quarts water
- 4 lbs potatoes, peeled and sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Method
- 1 Place chopped onions and fat in a large saucepan. Boil over heat for 10 minutes.
- 2 Add potatoes, water, salt, and pepper. Stir occasionally.
- 3 Cook for 25 minutes until potatoes are soft and broken down into a pulp.
