Onion And Mushroom Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 ounce butter
- ½ ounce onion, minced
- 1 tablespoon mushroom ketchup
- 1 tablespoon port wine
- ½ cup broth
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- juice of ½ lemon
- 1-2 teaspoons vinegar or tarragon
Method
- 1 Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- 2 Add minced onion and sauté with a wooden spoon until lightly browned.
- 3 Stir in mushroom ketchup and port wine.
- 4 Add broth, pepper, and salt; bring to a boil.
- 5 Remove from heat and stir in mustard, lemon juice, and vinegar or tarragon.
