One Pound Pound Cake
Ingredients
- 1 lb all-purpose flour
- 1 lb granulated sugar
- 1 lb unsalted butter
- 10 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Method
- 1 Preheat oven to 300°F. Grease a tube pan.
- 2 Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- 3 Add one-quarter of the flour and beat well.
- 4 Add beaten eggs one tablespoon at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition.
- 5 Add remaining flour and flavoring; beat until combined.
- 6 Bake for 1 hour 30 minutes or until a tester comes out clean.
