One Pan Beef And Cabbage Skillet
Ingredients
- 1 head green cabbage, washed and cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 pound lean ground beef (90% lean)
- 1 teaspoon non-stick cooking spray
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Red pepper flakes to taste (optional)
Method
- 1 Chop the cabbage and onion, then set them aside.
- 2 In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain the fat and set the beef aside.
- 3 Spray the skillet with cooking spray. Cook the onions over medium heat until soft.
- 4 Add the cabbage to the onions and cook until the cabbage begins to brown.
- 5 Stir the cooked beef back into the cabbage and onion mixture.
- 6 Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Add red pepper flakes if you prefer a spicy dish.
