Oatmeal Meat Loaf
Ingredients
- 2 cups minced raw meat (neck cut)
- 1 cup chopped onions
- 2 cups cold cooked oatmeal
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon sweet marjoram
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 cup stock
Method
- 1 Mix minced meat, chopped onions, oatmeal, thyme, marjoram, salt, and pepper thoroughly.
- 2 Add 1/2 cup stock to moisten the mixture, then pack into a well-greased and floured loaf-shaped pan.
- 3 Place the loaf pan in a larger pan containing water (bain-marie). Bake in a slow oven (300°F) for one hour.
