Nutmeg Puff Pastry Custard
Ingredients
- 8 eggs
- ½ lb granulated sugar
- ½ lb unsalted butter, melted
- 1 whole nutmeg, grated
- 1 sheet puff pastry
Method
- 1 Beat the eggs until very light and fluffy.
- 2 Stir in the sugar, melted butter, and grated nutmeg.
- 3 Place the puff pastry in a shallow dish and pour the egg mixture over it.
- 4 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for 30 minutes.
- 5 Sift powdered sugar over the top and serve hot.
