Nutmeg Custard Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 5 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 egg yolk

Method

  1. 1 Stir cornstarch into milk to dissolve.
  2. 2 Bring mixture to a boil and cook for three minutes.
  3. 3 Add nutmeg, sugar, and egg yolk; beat to blend.
  4. 4 Cool the sauce before serving.
