Nut Bread
Ingredients
- flour
- salt
- baking powder
- nuts (pecans, hickory nuts, peanuts, or English walnuts)
- sugar
- 1 egg
- milk
Method
- 1 Sift salt, baking powder, and flour together. Mix in nuts and sugar.
- 2 Beat egg, add milk, and stir into the flour mixture. Mix well.
- 3 Turn batter into a greased bread pan. Cover and let stand for 15 minutes.
- 4 Bake in a 400°F oven for 30 minutes.
- 5 Cool completely. Slice thin, butter lightly, and press two slices together.
