Nut And Raisin Cake
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs, well-beaten
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 cup blanched nuts, chopped
- 1 cup raisins, stoned
Method
- 1 Cream 1 cup butter and 1 cup sugar together.
- 2 Add 2 well-beaten eggs, 1 cup milk, and 1 teaspoon vanilla; mix well.
- 3 Sift 2 cups flour with 2 teaspoons baking powder and stir into the mixture.
- 4 Fold in 1 cup chopped blanched nuts and 1 cup stoned raisins.
- 5 Pour into a deep buttered pan and bake in a moderate oven (350°F).
