Nut And Raisin Cake

Ingredients

• 1 cup butter
• 1 cup sugar
• 2 eggs, well-beaten
• 1 cup milk
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 2 cups flour
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1 cup blanched nuts, chopped
• 1 cup raisins, stoned

Method

1. 1 Cream 1 cup butter and 1 cup sugar together.
2. 2 Add 2 well-beaten eggs, 1 cup milk, and 1 teaspoon vanilla; mix well.
3. 3 Sift 2 cups flour with 2 teaspoons baking powder and stir into the mixture.
4. 4 Fold in 1 cup chopped blanched nuts and 1 cup stoned raisins.
5. 5 Pour into a deep buttered pan and bake in a moderate oven (350°F).
