Mutton Shepherd's Pie

Ingredients

• cold cooked mutton, chopped fine
• seasoning to taste
• stock or gravy
• mashed potato, highly seasoned
• 1 beaten egg

Method

1. 1 Chop cold cooked mutton fine and season to taste.
2. 2 Place the mutton in a buttered baking dish and add enough stock or gravy to moisten.
3. 3 Cover with highly seasoned mashed potato mixed with a beaten egg.
4. 4 Bake until the potato topping is puffed and brown.
5. 5 Serve in the same dish.
