Mutton Shepherd's Pie
Ingredients
- cold cooked mutton, chopped fine
- seasoning to taste
- stock or gravy
- mashed potato, highly seasoned
- 1 beaten egg
Method
- 1 Chop cold cooked mutton fine and season to taste.
- 2 Place the mutton in a buttered baking dish and add enough stock or gravy to moisten.
- 3 Cover with highly seasoned mashed potato mixed with a beaten egg.
- 4 Bake until the potato topping is puffed and brown.
- 5 Serve in the same dish.
