Mutton Broth Leek And Oatmeal Soup
Ingredients
- leftover mutton boiling liquid
- 4 large leeks, cut into pieces
- salt and pepper to taste
- ½ cup oatmeal
- cold water
Method
- 1 Add the cut leeks to the leftover mutton boiling liquid.
- 2 Season with salt and pepper, then boil gently for 15 minutes.
- 3 Mix oatmeal with cold water until smooth, then stir into the soup.
- 4 Simmer gently for another 30 minutes and serve.
