Mutton And Rice Stuffed Cabbage Rolls
Ingredients
- 1 cup lean mutton, parboiled and chopped
- 1 cup boiled rice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Butter, for seasoning and serving
- Cabbage leaves, white inner leaves
- Cheese-cloth
- Water for boiling
Method
- 1 Parboil and chop lean mutton. Mix with an equal quantity of boiled rice and season with salt, pepper, and butter.
- 2 Place a large spoonful of the meat and rice mixture onto each cabbage leaf. Fold and tie securely.
- 3 Tie all prepared leaves in cheese-cloth and boil slowly for 30 minutes in the water used to boil the mutton.
- 4 Remove from cloth, take off strings, and serve with melted butter.
