Mustard Pickled Cucumbers
Ingredients
- 1 peck medium cucumbers
- 1 gallon cider vinegar
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup mustard
- 1 cup salt
Method
- 1 Wash cucumbers thoroughly and pack them into a stone crock.
- 2 Dissolve the mustard in a portion of the vinegar.
- 3 Mix the mustard-vinegar mixture with the remaining vinegar, sugar, and salt.
- 4 Pour the cold brine over the cucumbers in the crock.
- 5 Place a weight on top and let sit for three days before using.
