Mushroom Catsup Pot Roast
Ingredients
- 1 round of beef
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 1 cup boiling water
- Butter
- Flour
- Salt
- Pepper
- Mushroom catsup
Method
- 1 Place beef in a deep pot with sliced onion and 1 cup boiling water. Cover and cook slowly for 10 minutes per pound.
- 2 Remove meat. Rub with butter, dredge with flour, and brown in a hot oven (425°F).
- 3 Strain pan juices. Season with salt, pepper, and mushroom catsup. Thicken with flour browned in butter.
- 4 Pour gravy over the meat and serve.
