Moravian Omelet
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sifted stale bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon grated onion
- 1 tablespoon finely minced parsley
- 3 well-beaten eggs
Method
- 1 Soak bread crumbs in milk, then mix in salt, pepper, onion, parsley, and eggs.
- 2 Heat shortening in a frying pan until smoking hot.
- 3 Pour in the mixture, reduce heat, and cook until set.
- 4 Fold, turn, and roll the omelet onto a hot platter.
