Molasses Nut Brownies

  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup shortening
  • 1/3 cup molasses
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method

  1. 1 Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease small tins or a sheet pan with shortening.
  2. 2 Cream shortening and sugar together until well combined.
  3. 3 Add beaten eggs, molasses, and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.
