Molasses Gingerbread Cookies With Cloves
Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp ground cloves
- ½ cup butter
- 1 cup molasses
Method
- 1 Sift the flour, brown sugar, ginger, and cloves together into a large bowl.
- 2 Melt the butter in the molasses over low heat.
- 3 Pour the warm molasses mixture into the dry ingredients and knead well.
- 4 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) until set.
