Molasses Chocolate Caramels
Ingredients
- 1 cup molasses
- ½ cup sugar
- ¼ pound chocolate, finely chopped
- ½ cup milk
- 1 heaping tablespoon butter
Method
- 1 Combine molasses, sugar, chocolate, milk, and butter in a saucepan.
- 2 Boil the mixture, stirring constantly, until it hardens when dropped into cold water.
- 3 Pour the hot caramel into shallow pans to cool.
- 4 Once cooled, cut the caramel into small squares.
