Moist Sugar Apple Dumplings
Ingredients
- 1 dozen apples
- 1 lb shortcrust pastry
- moist sugar
Method
- 1 Pare the apples and remove the cores.
- 2 Fill the holes with moist sugar.
- 3 Cover each apple with a piece of shortcrust pastry, drawing the paste over the fruit without rolling it flat.
- 4 Wet the edges of the pastry to seal them.
- 5 Place dumplings on a greased tin and bake for 45-60 minutes.
