Mint Butter Simmered Green Peas

Ingredients

  • 1 pint shelled peas
  • 1 pint water
  • 1 sprig mint
  • 1 ounce butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Method

  1. 1 Wash the peas and place them in a stewpan with the water, mint, butter, and salt.
  2. 2 Simmer with the lid off until the peas are quite tender.
  3. 3 Remove the mint sprig and serve the peas.
