Milk Braised Cabbage With Butter
Ingredients
- 1 head cabbage, shredded
- Water for boiling
- Milk
- Salt
- Pepper
- A bit of mace
- Butter
Method
- 1 Slice cabbage into thin shreds and cook in rapidly boiling water for 15 minutes.
- 2 Drain the water, then cover the cabbage with milk, salt, pepper, and mace.
- 3 Cook until tender and the milk has reduced to just moisten the cabbage.
- 4 Stir in a piece of butter and serve immediately.
