Microwave Baked Apples With Raisins
Ingredients
- 1 medium apple, skinned and cored (bottom intact)
- 1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon raisins
- 1 tablespoon butter or alternative spread
Method
- 1 Place the cored apple on a microwave-safe plate with the opening facing up, ensuring the bottom remains intact.
- 2 Mix the brown sugar, nutmeg, and cinnamon in a small cup, then sprinkle the mixture into and over the apple.
- 3 Sprinkle the raisins on top of and around the apple.
- 4 Place the butter or alternative spread on top of the apple, then cover loosely with plastic wrap or wax paper.
- 5 Microwave on high for 2.5 to 3 minutes.
- 6 Let the apple sit for at least 30 seconds before eating to avoid burns, as it will be very hot.
