Meat And Barley Stew With Potatoes
Ingredients
- ½ lb cold meat, diced
- ¼ cup barley
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- flour, for dredging
- salt and pepper
- 1 quart water
- 5 potatoes, peeled and sliced
Method
- 1 Wash the barley. Dice the cold meat and finely chop the onions.
- 2 Combine meat, barley, and onions in a saucepan. Dredge with flour and season with salt and pepper.
- 3 Add water and simmer for 2 hours.
- 4 Add sliced potatoes and simmer for another hour until tender.
