Mayonnaise Stuffed Tomatoes With Celery And Walnuts
Ingredients
- large ripe tomatoes
- finely cut celery
- minced onion
- mayonnaise
- parsley sprigs
- English walnuts
Method
- 1 Scald, drain, skin, and chill large ripe tomatoes. Cut a slice off the blossom end and scoop out the pulp.
- 2 Drain the tomato pulp and mix it with an equal quantity of finely cut celery and a little minced onion.
- 3 Mix the vegetable mixture with mayonnaise, then fill the tomato shells.
- 4 Top with a spoonful of stiff mayonnaise and garnish with a sprig of parsley or an English walnut.
