Mashed Potatoes With Fried Onions
Ingredients
- 1 pound potatoes
- 1 finely chopped English onion
- 1 piece of butter (size of a walnut)
- Pepper and salt to taste
- A little hot milk
Method
- 1 Fry the chopped onion in the butter until nicely browned, being careful not to burn it.
- 2 Mash the cooked potatoes and return them to the saucepan.
- 3 Add the fried onion, seasoning, and a little hot milk to the potatoes.
- 4 Mash everything together well and serve very hot.
