Marmalade Ginger Pie

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 cup marmalade
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon powdered ginger

Method

  1. 1 Sift salt, flour, and baking powder into a bowl.

  3. 3 Add ginger and well-beaten egg; knead lightly into a smooth paste.
  4. 4 Divide dough into two pieces; roll out one and line a greased pie plate.
