Maple Sugar Swirl Biscuits
Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 tablespoons butter
- milk or milk and water

Method
- 1 Sift together 1 cup flour, 1 teaspoon salt, and 3 teaspoons baking powder.
- 2 Work 2 tablespoons butter into the dry ingredients, then mix with milk or milk and water to form a dough.
- 3 Cut the dough until light and spongy, then pat into a rectangular sheet.
- 4 Spread with maple sugar, roll up like a jelly roll, and cut into rounds.
- 5 Bake in a buttered pan and serve hot with butter.
