Maple Nutmeg Custard

Ingredients

  • 5 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 cup maple sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch grated nutmeg
  • 3 pints warm milk

Method

  1. 1 Beat five eggs with a tablespoon of flour, a cup of maple sugar, and a pinch each of salt and grated nutmeg.
  2. 2 Mix the egg mixture with three pints of warm milk.
  3. 3 Pour into a baking dish or custard cups.
  4. 4 Place the dish in a pan of hot water.
  5. 5 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) until the custard is set.
