Maple Nutmeg Custard
Ingredients
- 5 eggs
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 cup maple sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch grated nutmeg
- 3 pints warm milk
Method
- 1 Beat five eggs with a tablespoon of flour, a cup of maple sugar, and a pinch each of salt and grated nutmeg.
- 2 Mix the egg mixture with three pints of warm milk.
- 3 Pour into a baking dish or custard cups.
- 4 Place the dish in a pan of hot water.
- 5 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) until the custard is set.
