  • 2 tablespoons cooked mackerel, deboned
  • 1 small onion, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons butter
  • Thin toasted bread strips

Method

  1. 1 Pick the fish from the backbone of a cooked mackerel and rub it through a sieve.
  2. 2 Mix the fish with grated onion, mustard, paprika, and butter until a paste forms.
  3. 3 Spread the mixture onto thin toasted strips of bread and serve.
