Mace Infused Celery Soup
Ingredients
- 1 pint milk
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 head celery
- 1 large slice onion
- 1 small piece mace
- salt to taste
Method
- 1 Boil celery in 1 pint of water for 30 to 45 minutes.
- 2 Boil the onion, mace, and milk together.
- 3 Mix flour with 2 tablespoons of cold milk to create a slurry.
- 4 Mash the cooked celery in its cooking water and stir in the boiling milk mixture.
- 5 Strain the soup and serve.
