Macaroon Ice Cream
Ingredients
- 1 pint heavy cream
- ½ pint milk
- ¾ cup sugar
- 2 eggs, separated
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ pound macaroons, dissolved
Method
- 1 Beat the egg yolks and whites separately.
- 2 Combine the cream, milk, sugar, vanilla, and beaten egg yolks in a bowl.
- 3 Stir the mixture thoroughly but do not cook it.
- 4 Fold in the beaten egg whites.
- 5 Dissolve the macaroons into the mixture.
- 6 Freeze the mixture according to your ice cream maker's instructions.
