  • 1 pint heavy cream
  • ½ pint milk
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ pound macaroons, dissolved

Method

  1. 1 Beat the egg yolks and whites separately.
  2. 2 Combine the cream, milk, sugar, vanilla, and beaten egg yolks in a bowl.
  3. 3 Stir the mixture thoroughly but do not cook it.
  4. 4 Fold in the beaten egg whites.
  5. 5 Dissolve the macaroons into the mixture.
  6. 6 Freeze the mixture according to your ice cream maker's instructions.
