Macaroni And Cheese Pie
Ingredients
- 8 oz macaroni
- 2 oz butter
- salt and pepper
- 4 oz grated fine cheese
- pastry dough
Method
- 1 Cook macaroni in a stew-pan with 1 oz butter, salt, pepper, and enough water to cover until dry.
- 2 Mix in grated cheese and remaining 1 oz butter. Let the mixture cool completely.
- 3 Line a deep, flat-bottomed pan with pastry dough, covering the sides and bottom.
- 4 Fill the pastry shell with the macaroni mixture and cover with a pastry lid.
- 5 Bake at 350°F for at least 30 minutes. Loosen from pan and invert onto a dish.
