Long-Beaten Whole Egg Sponge
Ingredients
- 4 oz all-purpose flour
- 5 large eggs
- 4 oz granulated sugar
Method
- 1 Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a cake pan and dust with sugar.
- 2 Beat eggs and sugar for 20 minutes until thick and light, optionally over a warm water bath.
- 3 Sift flour and gently fold it into the egg mixture.
- 4 Pour into the pan and bake for 1 hour until golden and set.
