Ingredients

  • 1 lb flour
  • 1 tablespoon oil or melted butter
  • 1/4 cup tepid water
  • 1 egg white, beaten to stiff peaks
  • Castor sugar to taste (optional)

Method

  1. 1 Place flour in a bowl and make a well in the center.
  2. 2 Add oil or melted butter to the well.
  3. 3 Stir smoothly, gradually adding tepid water until the batter is quite smooth.
  4. 4 Lightly fold in the beaten egg white.
