Lemon Sponge Cake With Chocolate Decoration
Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups sugar
- ¾ cup hot water
- 1¾ cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- salt
- lemon extract
- chocolate for decoration
Method
- 1 Beat the eggs separately.
- 2 Gradually add sugar to the yolks and mix well.
- 3 Add hot water and mix.
- 4 Mix baking powder with flour.
- 5 Alternately add flour mixture and beaten egg whites until incorporated.
- 6 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F).
- 7 Optional: Bake thin, cut into shapes, frost, and decorate with chocolate.
