  • 1 pint washed rice
  • Milk or water
  • 1 lump butter
  • 5 eggs
  • Sugar to taste
  • Essence of lemon or lemon peel
  • Cream
  • Pie crust

Method

  1. 1 Boil washed rice in milk or water until soft.
  2. 2 Stir in butter, eggs, sugar, and lemon flavoring.
  3. 3 Mix in cream until the consistency is thin enough to pour.
  4. 4 Pour into a pie crust in deep plates.
  5. 5 Bake until set.
