Lemon Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 5 tablespoons Crisco
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract

Method

  1. 1 Cream Crisco and sugar together.
  2. 2 Beat egg yolks very light and add to the creamed mixture.
  3. 3 Add dry ingredients, milk, and lemon extract and mix well.
  4. 4 Turn into a small greased and floured cake tin.
  5. 5 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for forty-five minutes.
