Lemon Pound Cake
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 5 tablespoons Crisco
- 1/2 cup milk
- 4 egg yolks
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
Method
- 1 Cream Crisco and sugar together.
- 2 Beat egg yolks very light and add to the creamed mixture.
- 3 Add dry ingredients, milk, and lemon extract and mix well.
- 4 Turn into a small greased and floured cake tin.
- 5 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for forty-five minutes.
