  • 2 oz flour
  • 1/2 pint milk
  • A few drops lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped parsley

Method

  1. 1 Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  2. 2 Whisk in the flour until smooth to form a roux.
  3. 3 Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly until thickened.
