Lemon Orange Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • Sugar
  • Grated rind and juice of lemons
  • Orange juice
  • Cream

Method

  1. 1 Mix sugar, grated lemon rind, lemon juice, and orange juice together.
  2. 2 Heat half the cream in a double boiler until scalding hot, then cool completely.
  3. 3 Add the remaining half of the cream to the cooled mixture and freeze until very hard.
  4. 4 Remove the crank and lid, add the sugar mixture, replace the lid and crank, and churn rapidly for five minutes.
  5. 5 Repack the ice cream to ripen.
