Lemon Orange Ice Cream
Ingredients
- Sugar
- Grated rind and juice of lemons
- Orange juice
- Cream
Method
- 1 Mix sugar, grated lemon rind, lemon juice, and orange juice together.
- 2 Heat half the cream in a double boiler until scalding hot, then cool completely.
- 3 Add the remaining half of the cream to the cooled mixture and freeze until very hard.
- 4 Remove the crank and lid, add the sugar mixture, replace the lid and crank, and churn rapidly for five minutes.
- 5 Repack the ice cream to ripen.
